I've never hired a dress before, how does it work?

At The Dress Nook, we offer dress rental services for special occasions. Simply browse through our collection of high-end dresses, select the one you love, and choose the rental period. We will deliver the dress to your doorstep, and after your event, you can return it to us. Our hire price includes dry cleaning, so you don't have to worry about cleaning the dress yourself.

 

Can I try on a dress before hiring it? 

Yes, you can! Our Try On's service is located in Deanside VIC, 3336. Please see our 'Try On's page for more information. 

 

How long can I rent a dress for?

You can rent a dress from The Dress Nook for as little as 1 night, and up to a maximum of 14 days*. This allows you to have enough time to prepare for your event, wear the dress, and return it to us without any rush.

*An additional cost will incur if hiring a garment for more than 4 days. 

 

What happens if I damage the dress?

We understand that accidents can happen. Minor damage such as small stains come out most of the time after dry cleaning. Small holes/tears in fabric can be recovered, and the cost from our tailor to do this will be deducted from your bond. However, if the dress is damaged beyond repair, you will be liable for the full RRP of the dress on top of what you have already paid to hire the dress. We recommend taking extra care while wearing our dresses to avoid any damage.

 

TRY ON'S

Can I bring my mum or a friend with me to my Try On appointment? 

At the moment, we unfortunately do not have the space to accomodate more than one person at a time (being you!). Please leave your loved ones at home, or alternatively we encourage you to Facetime them when you're trying on the dresses! P.S... Watch this space!

 

What if I don't find anything I like at my appointment? Can I have a refund?

The $15 Try On fee is non refundable. This is to cover our time assisting you to find the perfect dress! In the 30 minutes, you can try on as many pieces as you'd like. After your appointment, you've got 24 hours to decide if you'd like to go ahead and hire a piece or not. No pressure at all!

 

DELIVERY

How long will it take for me to receive my dress?

All of our dresses are sent with Australia Post's express service. For those in VIC, SA, NSW, QLD, TAS & ACT, you can expect your dress within 1-2 business days days. For the WA & NT, expect between 2-3 business days. 

 

RETURNS 

How do I return my dress?

For all postal returns, simply place your dress in the prepaid returns satchel provided to you, and lodge it over the counter at an Australia Post store before 3pm on your return date. 

 

What do I do if I have lost my return satchel?

If you have lost your returns satchel, please notify us ASAP so we can organise a new returns label for you. We will email this to you, and you must bring this in to an Australia Post store with you to lodge the return. You can get a blank satchel from an Australia Post store for $1- $2, and stick the label we sent you on it!
